Pallets: Selection and Handling Rules before Use
As mentioned above, pallets are used for transportation as packaging material. They come in different sizes, but most often you can see standard and so called “Euro” pallets. By the way, it is on the last version that there is a marking on the ends, which will be a kind of decoration on your furniture. Laconic Sofa with Drawers
As you know, pallets have a small space between the boards. It is very convenient to use it for the storage of various things. Therefore, we propose to make an unusual sofa with drawers.
For work we need:
- pallets;
- plywood sheets;
- angle grinder;
- primer;
- drill;
- paint for wood;
- acrylic lacquer;
- jigsaw;
- sandpaper;
- screws;
- drawer handles;
- wheels – 4 pcs .;
- brushes;
- roller;
- cushions and seating for the sofa.
First of all, proceed to the preparation of all pallets, that is, clean and grind them. One of them will be the basis, so you can immediately attach the wheels to it.
The second pallet will be the back of the sofa, so we trim it, as shown in the photo.
The third pallet is divided in half. These will be the armrests.
Since the back and the main part of the sofa should be solid, fill the empty space between the boards with wooden blanks. Instead, you can use parts of pallets that have already been disassembled earlier.
With the help of screws attach the back to the main part of the sofa. Attach armrests to the sides of the future product. Cover the entire structure with a primer. After complete drying, apply a layer of paint and then acrylic lacquer and leave it to dry.
In the meantime, proceed to the creation of two drawers. For this, we use sheets of plywood and screws. Also attach the handle from the outside. If desired, make boxes for armrests.

Small Sofa
If you want to make a small sofa in the hallway, then this is just the perfect option.
Necessary materials:
- pallets;
- screws;
- saw;
- corners;
- screwdriver;
- a pen;
- sanding machine or sandpaper;
- primer;
- putty knife;
- white paint;
- brush;
- decorative pillows.
For a start, the pallet is sawn into two parts. This is to ensure that the sofa is not too wide. In this case, the narrower part will act as a back and a wide one as a seat.
We cut out the legs for the future sofa from the bars. It is very important that they are of the same size. It’s best to make them fairly wide for reliability.
The next step is to connect the two blanks together. To do this, use the corners, screws, and screwdriver.
We polish the surface of the sofa with a special grinding machine or use simple sandpaper for this.
Using a spatula, apply a primer and leave the sofa until completely dry.
Paint the surface with white paint.
We decorate the sofa with pillows at our discretion.
Corner Sofa
In the process, you will need the following:

- sandpaper;
- white paint;
- primer;
- brushes;
- saw;
- corners;
- screws;
- screwdriver;
- plywood sheets;
- foam rubber;
- scissors;
- cloth;
- construction stapler.
First of all, we clean the surface of the pallets, process it with emery paper and finish with a primer. Only after that we apply white paint and leave it to dry completely.
We should saw wooden bars at an angle. That is what determines the degree of the backrest of the sofa.
Attach the bars to the pallet using a screwdriver, screws, and corners.
We process a sheet of plywood with sandpaper, apply a primer, as well as white paint. After complete drying, we fix it as a sofa back.
The result is a frame of the sofa, as shown in the photo.
We use small bars as legs and attach them to the sofa.
Cut the pieces of the required size out of the foam rubber. They will be used as seats and backs.
Wrap the foam with a piece of cloth and attach it to the sofa with the help of a construction stapler.
Repeat the same process with each foam rubber workpiece.
The result is an original corner sofa.
