The bathroom is one of the rooms that we frequently use in our homes. Cleaning the bathroom can be very hectic, from floors to showerheads, washbasin to toilet seats, bathtub, soap holders, bath mirrors, and many more. Bathroom cleaning is the chore that many dislike, but tidying up the bathroom is simply unavoidable. And there are tips that will make it favorable.
Remove Soap Scum on Walls with Baking Soda
To remove soap scum on walls and glass doors, stir one and a half cup of household ammonia, and three tablespoons of baking soda, into two cups of warm water. And use the solution with a sponge or rag to clean the surface and rinse it.
Clean Showerhead with Vinegar
Fill a plastic bag with vinegar, and attach it to your showerhead with a rubber band. Allow the showerhead to be wholly immersed and leave it for about 20 minutes. Then scrub with an old toothbrush or sponge. Sometimes, hard water can cause your showerhead to block; in such a circumstance, the same method is applicable. You can also use a needle or toothpick to clean the holes, then wipe with a piece of cloth dipped in the vinegar.
Use Wet Steel Wool and Black Tea to Clean Your Mirror
Bathroom mirrors are usually covered with water spots, toothpaste splatters, soap scum, and others. To clean these, put a few black tea bags, into warm water and allow it to dissolve. Then pour it into a spray bottle. Use wet steel wool to clean as you spray. Wet steel wool will help you to avoid scratches on the mirror. And you will see your beautiful reflection again in no time.
Use Lemon to Clean Your Faucet
Cut the lemon in half, and rub it all over the stains. The lemon’s acidity will rip those stains off, and leave your faucet sparkling. To deal with tougher water stains, soak washcloth or napkin in white vinegar, wrap the cloth around the faucet for about thirty minutes, and then unwrap the washcloth, or napkin and rinse.
Apply Bleach to get Spotless Bathroom Tiles
Soak cotton wool ball in household bleach, and place it on the spot that is badly stained for a few hours, and scrub or mop. You can also spray an all-purpose cleaner on the tiles for ten minutes, then wipe the surfaces with a clean cloth, but this does not usually work on tough stains.
Clean the Toilet with Borax and Lemon Juice
Apply a paste of lemon juice and borax, to toilet bowl and rim. Allow it to stay for about an hour, and then scrub it off with the toilet brush. To get rid of the water rings that appear at the water level in the toilet bowl.
Apply Baking Soda Paste and Vinegar to Clean Grout
Grout can make your beautiful tiles very ugly, and cleaning it can be very stressful. But the good thing is that you can wash and restore your bathroom grout, using common household products. Cover grout lines with a paste of vinegar and baking soda. Then spray vinegar solution (vinegar and water). Once the mixture starts to foam, scrub with a brush, and rinse with plain water.
