Modern English Country Style Interior Design Example

Modern English interior design style is a harmonious combination of Georgian and Victorian stylistic directions. Georgian style tends to the canons of antiquity, with its clarity of lines and symmetry of space organization. The color palette of this design direction is also conservative and reserved. Almost all surfaces are in light, neutral shades. In its turn, the Victorian style of interior design is more liberated in color gamma, as well as in the ways of the interior arrangement. The use of precious species of wood for the manufacture of furniture is a necessary attribute. Floral motifs are often present in the colors of textiles, and wall decoration. And heirlooms and collectibles appear as decorative elements.

We offer the design project of a country house, designed accordingly to the English style. None of the traditional styles of living in Foggy Albion is complete without a fireplace or its simulation. Being the focal point of the room, the fireplace gives symmetry and organization to the living room.

The white shades in the English country decor of walls, ceiling, and a central element are in perfect harmony with light wooden flooring and neutral colors upholstery. Only the dark color of lamps and picture frames acts as contrast in the bright living room.

An interesting design technique became the design of wall cabinets as if hovering in the air. The surface texture of the floor covering material coincides with built-in furniture. It is a frequent reception of the English interior.

In addition to the living room on the first floor of the mansion, there is a spacious open-plan kitchen combined with a dining area. The room is literally bathed in sunlight thanks to large windows and glass doors from floor to ceiling.

The white shades of the working kitchen area are shaded out only by a silvery sheen of cutlery and accessories. The presence of wooden elements (in flooring and in the dining area) gives the room warmth of the overall image.

The ergonomic layout of the working and dining surfaces allows you to save time on routine kitchen work. Even the most unloved occupation becomes more enjoyable to perform in a comfortable and friendly environment. A convenient kitchen island with an integrated sink allows you to wash the dishes taken from the dining area and after they dried, – place them right here at drawers integrated into the lower part of the cabinets.

One of the walls of the kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in cabinets system, which can accommodate not only all the dishes and cutlery but also successfully disguises appliances like a British gas boiler.

The entrance to the backyard is framed by small columns with brickwork. Its shades match perfectly with the color of the wood on the floor.

Climbing the snowy stairs, we get to the second floor, where the living quarters are located.

The design of the guest bedroom is simple and concise. Light, neutral colors in interior decoration are only slightly diluted by bright spots of textiles and decorative elements.

The bedroom has a bathroom in gray and white. Laconic combination of snow-white plaster and a variety of shades of gray in the stone finish is reflected in a blaze of mirrors and plumbing components. And this is quite an original idea to equip the guest bedroom with a bathroom in order for your guests would have the opportunity to observe hygiene without going out of their room.

The master bedroom is located in a room with a sloping ceiling, which did not prevent arrange a spacious and comfortable room for sleeping. It has spectacular skylights with wooden frames instead.

A good design course was the location of the bed in a wooden alcove with a built-in mirror and lights.

The white walls of the room hide built-in storage that frees up all the bedrooms’ space from the unnecessary interior items.

This bedroom also has an individual bathroom in bright colors.

In this more spacious bathroom, in addition to the bathtub of an interesting form, it was possible to place a shower too.

A bright room with neutral colors in the decoration symbolizes the principle of “nothing extra”.
