Loft Style Bedroom Design at the Attic

The arrangement of bedrooms on the premises, where the ceiling is formed by a gable roof, is the best option. After all, you will spend most of the time in a horizontal position when the ceiling height and the bevel are not as crucial in this residential area. Many attics have not enough space to accommodate a complete living room and a room for children. But the master bedroom or guest room can become a comfortable extra space of your home. If you want to create loft style bedroom design at the attic, you can use some of the abundances of ideas presented in this article to turn them into one universal concept.

If you have a pretty spacious attic room, it can be arranged as the bedroom for two people. Beds, located in the zones with the sharpest ceiling bevel, will save valuable space for the passage, where it will be possible to go at full height without any discomfort.

You had equipped the basic premises of your private home a long time ago – all the functional areas are placed and decorated according to your stylistic preferences. But a small cubbyhole in the loft space is not covered yet. Use this space to organize beds for guests. Here is a clear example of how even a modest size room of the original form can be a cozy place to sleep. And everything that you have stored in the attic in random order until now can be folded into the storage system, built-in to the bed base.

Here is an example of the organization of several beds in the form of built-in units with storage systems. Each bed is a box with individual lighting, adjoining shelves and cabinets.

The spacious attic room can be arranged not only as of the bedroom but also as the multifunction station, containing a dressing area and workspace apart from a berth. Embedding complex around the locker door on all the space from floor to ceiling can significantly save valuable space of the bedroom. A desk in the boudoir area can be used as a toilet.

Features furnish bedrooms in the attic

It is difficult to come up with a more elegant design course for a radical transformation of the old attic into an elegant bedroom, than the use of a snow-white finish. One of the attic problems, in addition to irregular shapes and ceilings with large bevels, is poor lighting. The rare roof window suits to be redeveloped into a complete source of natural light. As a rule, you have to be content with a window (or windows) located on the front of the building. That is why the loft space is so demanding the light finish, white and glossy surfaces that can reflect sunlight.

One of the basic rules of visual expansion of space sounds like “dark bottom, white top”. Bedroom with dark flooring and white walls, which are often abruptly transit into the ceiling, will seem larger than they actually are. Ceiling beams of wood to match the floorboard or parquet will become an original emphasis and integral part of the design.
