Designing a Gaming Den for the Kids – 5 Things You Need

A gaming den at home can create a great space in your home where kids – and adults – can come to relax, wind down, and have some fun. The best thing about gaming is that it is open to all ages so there’s nothing stopping you from designing a gaming space that is mainly for your children, but doubles up as somewhere that you can spend time too. If you’re thinking about turning a spare room or some other unused space in your home into a gaming den, here are some of the main things to consider adding to it.

Gaming Chairs

Whether your kids – or you – enjoy PC gaming, console gaming, or a little bit of both, a comfortable gaming chair can make all the difference to your experience. Gaming chairs come in a wide range of styles and colors from standard gaming chairs that can easily double up as an office chair to inflatable, comfortable chairs with cup holders, controller holders, and tons of other features to make the experience even better.

Wall-Mounted TVs

Wall-mounting the TVs in your home gaming den makes it easier for you to avoid damage, and helps you make the most of the space in your room, especially if you are converting a smaller room in the house into a gaming area. Wall-mounted TVs look great in a gaming area and putting them on the wall is easier than you might realize with a range of bracket options that are easy to fit.

Smartphone Chargers

If possible, consider adding USB sockets to the room so that charging smartphones and tablets is easier than ever. Even if you and your family prefer console or PC gaming, chances are that some of you like playing mobile games too, like lucky nugget casino game options. Charging sockets that are easy to reach and out of the way to avoid tangled wires or having to choose between PC components and charging your phone will make the room easier to use and provide a seamless gaming experience.

LED Lights

LED strip lights are becoming a common sight in gaming rooms all around the world. You can get warm or bright LED strip lights or invest in some lights that you can use to change to a wide range of different colors using a remote control. If anyone in your family enjoys streaming games on Twitch, LED Wi-Fi lights can create an even better streaming experience by allowing the stream viewers to change the lights colors by simply typing in the comments.

Smart Speaker or Voice Assistant

A smart speaker such as an Amazon Echo or Google Home can add the perfect finishing touch to a modern gaming den at home for you and your family. You can ask it to perform several different tasks including playing music, answering questions, setting reminders and alarms, and much more. Since it’s voice-activated, it’s easy to use without having to leave the game.

What would you like to see in a gaming den at home for you and your family?
